Mr. Shy

Lianna had commented awhile ago that she thought Brayden was shy like me...and I think she must be right. After 45 minutes, a route 44 sweet tea, going to the bathroom, and laying in all sorts of strange positions, we still do not have a 4D pic of Brayden.

There are several good things about this though. I've gotten to see him on the ultrasound three times in three weeks, for free! I know he is healthy and growing and doing great. His weight yesterday was 3lb 4oz...so he's gained 7oz in 5 days! He's so jam packed in there that no one can believe it! He's also measuring over a week ahead.

One more little thing I've decided to share...after a long conversation with my doctor last week, we've decided to induce on Jan 12th if he isn't here by then. To be honest, the way things are going I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he showed up earlier than that. My poor baby really has run out of room. Of course I hope he will make it to the 12th but you never know what God's plans are. If we make it til' the 12th then I have 62 days left! In case you are wondering why we picked the 12th it's because that is the date that I would have the best chance of having my doctor for delivery. They would induce at 5pm and I probably wouldn't have him until the next day.

Anyway, I know a lot of people are anti-induction, but please know that this was a very personal decision and something we put a lot of thought into. =)

Back to the ultrasound...I went into it prepared to not get any pictures so I wasn't overly disappointed. I know that he will be here soon enough and then I can see him all I want! I've been really, really tired lately and can't ever seem to get comfortable. My back is killing me 90% of the time, but I can't go see my chiropractor (doctor's orders). I haven't had to take a Zofran all week which is great...I can actually get up in the mornings like a normal person! Woo-Hoo!

This weekend we are going to Branson with my gma. Chris and Dad are going hunting (pheasant...this momma doesn't allow deer hunting - it's Bambi!!!) on Friday and then meeting up with mom, gma and I at the Branson Landing. Saturday we hope to do some Christmas shopping. We've been making our lists for awhile (well, I've been making them...you know how OCD I am about my Excel spreadsheets) and I feel prepared now.

Last but not least, I posted a few days ago about my best friend having her baby. Please keep her in your prayers...they had to hospitalize her for an infection and I think she will be released today but you never know. I know it must be so hard on her because all she probably wants to do is be at home with her newborn and her little girl (oh and her husband too!). Thanks!

I am so sorry that you did not get to see Brayden, but I think you have a great spirit about you ;)!

Also, I was induced and it went GREAT ;)! I think the most important thing is that you are both healthy!

You know I was induced on my due date. The only reason we chose that day was because my doctor was on call. While I ended up having a c-section, it had nothing to do with me being induced. It was for other reasons. I support your induction 100%! Plus, it's great for us freak planners who need to know when these babies will be born!! Haha!

Too bad you didn't get the pictures but he will be here before you know it!

Whenever I get pregnant I want to be induced because I'm so OCD and such a planner! :)

Have fun in Branson!

I WANT to be induced!!!! It's what I hope for! And maybe my dr will want to induce right on my due date which means - we could have our babies on the same days!!!!
I'm hoping I can talk my doctor into letting me be induced.

I just knew that that Brayden had not made his debut when I read your post title..I'm sorry :( But you are right, you will get to see his face EVERY SINGLE DAY pretty soon! With the holidays just around the corner, time will soon fly by :)

January 12th is my mom's b-day...so I think it's a GREAT day for Brayden's b-day! Having your Dr. there is important...that was one of the main things I prayed for. I hope you keep feeling good these last 62ish days!!!!

That's not even a week before you are due, is it? That's hardly inducing - I was told that two weeks before your due date on is considered normal. My doctor has a policy of inducing if the baby is not here a week after the due date.

I actually am hoping to be induced this time! I had Tayson 2 weeks early so I'm not sure that it will work out but I am a big planner too and while it is totally awesome to just let it happen naturally, you can be so much more prepared if you are induced! I can't wait until he gets here so we can see some pictures!!
