Project Hawaii!

We are going back to Maui!!!

The last time we were there it was for our honeymoon:

This time my parents, brother, grandmother and great aunt our going too! Were celebrating my grandmothers 75th birthday! Were going back to where I am from in Northern California for her party on May 23 and then leaving for Maui on May 26! Which means project beach body has begun!

I am one of the most unathletic people I know, yet back in November I managed to get "hamstring tendonitis" which I think is a runner's issue. How did I manage this? By climbing a ladder in my kitchen to get my Christmas dishes down! I've just completed physical therapy for it but it basically feels the same. Oh well!

I am soooo excited for this vacation. Chris and I have been though so much since we got married 2.5 years ago. The last two years have been FILLED with infertility treatments, shots, medication, ultrasounds and a subsequent miscarriage (in April 08). I really need to get out of here for a little while!

Reality Recap

I'm a HUGE reality tv fan, and I have to admit, I have seen every show of every season of the Bachelor. Sad, I know!

If you are watching this season then you probably know that Matt is down to two women. Shayne, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, and Chelsea the Pharmaceutical Sales Rep. I really like Amanda, the woman who was kicked off last night because I thought she was very genuine. At first I would have to say that Shayne was my least favorite - I thought she seemed a little snobby. After these last several weeks of the show, she has really grown on me. Who do you like?

(In case you are wondering, that's not the only reality show I watch on Monday! Ohhhh no! I also watch The Hills and Little People Big World!)

Lunch at my FAV place!

Maegan and Me

Kelly and Rachel

Today I had lunch with three amazing women, Maegan, Kelly and Rachel. We went to my favorite resturant, (of the moment!) Granite City. Kelly and I are going through some very similar things right now, and its such a comfort to be around someone who truly gets me and can understand the emotional rollercoaster that I'm going through. Rachel had actually gone though something similar and is so sweet and uplifting, and I wouldnt know either of these ladies if it weren't for Maegan! They are all such a blessing!

RazorFest!!!!!!

So, I'll let you in on a secret...I'm not a huge sports fan. My Dad never watched sports...in fact, my mom was the one who always wanted to tune into the 49'ers games (were originally from the Bay Area). He would occasionally consent to watch the Superbowl, but I think it was mainly for the commercials.

Anyway, Chris is a super sports nut. He loves the Razorbacks (and the Cowboys, ick!). We had VIP passes to this event called RazorFest, which helps raise money for some GREAT charities (my favorites are Camp Barnabus and Arkansas Baptist Children's Home). I mainly went to see my friends who own Camp Barnabus (you may have seen them on Extreme Home Makeover) and visit. But anyway, we stayed for half of the Red and White game, which turned out to be fairly entertaining....since Arkansas was playing Arkansas they kept announcing things like "Thats another Arkansas Razorback FIRST DOWN!!!" Well duh, who elses first down would it be?!
Chris' dad and stepmom joined us and we had a wonderful time visiting with them. Chris' dad had a total hip replacement 2 months ago so I was concerned that this would be far too much walking for him, but he did well. I don't honestly think he would have complained even if he had been in pain though! You know how guys are!

New to this...

Does anyone else not know how to blog? I don't really know what I am doing here, but I am going to take a stab in the dark!

So I think I should set some blogging goals. Whoever is bored enough to read my blog can help keep me accountable! Here they are:

Take pictures more often.
Learn how to upload pictures onto the computer.
Learn how to then move them onto the blog.
Post on blog at least once a week.

Ok, so there they are! I always feel better when I have a worklist!
