2 Days and Dr. Appts

In two days it will be time for Brayden's surgery. I'm a little worried but after speaking with the surgery nurse and finding out it is just very light sedation - no tubes down his throat - I feel a little better. If you want to keep him in your prayers, his surgery is scheduled for 11am on Thursday. It should be short and we should be home (I'd guess) around 4ish.

Today I decided to head to the doctor for myself (shocker) because I'm having an issue with my heart. They ended up doing blood work and an EKG and I have to schedule a Echo cardiogram (like I have time for that!!!). No fun!

A few of you asked where I ordered the monkey costume - I ordered it through Pinatas.com. They were the least expensive place I found and they offered it in a 6-12 month size.

Hope everything goes well with B's procedure and your echo. I don't know what your symptoms are, but I had some palpitations when my youngest was around a year old. I went through and echo and monitoring and they didn't find anything. I finally decided it was hormonal. Still get them every once in a while:( Hope yours is nothing serious either!

My son had surgery at 13 months, and they used conscious sedation. This meant he was sedated but still able to breathe on his own without a vent during surgery. I was very concerned about this because he required respiratory assistance his first 11 weeks after birth (he was a micropreemie). For the surgery he did have blow by oxygen which was just a canula lying next to his face.
Your family is in our prayers!

I have been having some heart issues as well. Went to the Dr they did an EKG which was normal, blood work was normal and they did the echo cardiogram on me as well which was normal. Still experiencing heart palpitations and pains but they cant figure it out. So they took me off my BC to see if that could be causing it. I hope they can figure out whats going on with yours. Take Care!
