Cheesy Onion Bread

Here's a great, easy, and super fast side dish for your next get together! It's the perfect appetizer for that big game that's coming up too!

There are lots of these floating around on pinterest, and while I haven't made any versions other than my own, I bet you can easily switch up the ingredients if you aren't a fan of the cheese I use or the green onions!

1 round of sourdough or french bread (we prefer sourdough)
1/4 cup chopped green onion (white and green parts!)
3/4 cup (a stick and a half) of melted butter
Monterey Jack cheese -- about 1/2 - 3/4 of a block

Preheat your oven to 375.

Slice your bread lengthwise and then widthwise without slicing all the way through the round. I make about 1" cubes (without going all the way through the bread).

Cut small rectangles of cheese and shove them into the spaces between the bread cubes.

Melt your butter and then mix in your green onions. Pour this mixture over the bread.

Cover bread in foil and bake for 10-15 minutes. After that, uncover the bread and bake another 5-10 minutes. I usually bake mine on convection and the whole process only takes me a total of 10 minutes!
