Homemade: Graham Cracker Crust

I was planning on sharing a pie recipe with you today and then I realized I've never posted my basic graham cracker crust recipe. I used store bought crusts for years and while there is absolutely nothing wrong with going that route, sometimes I just prefer a homemade crust. If you've never tried it, give it a whirl...you'll be surprised at just how great it tastes!

And PS - That pie recipe is headed to the blog this week. ;-)

Graham Cracker Crust
Source: JennaBlogs.com
Yield: One crust

2 sleeves graham crackers (18 crackers)
1 stick of butter, melted
1/4 cup white sugar

Melt butter, set aside. In a food processor, finely grind up graham crackers. Add sugar and melted butter, combine until it all pulls together. Use the bottom of a glass to pack the crust into the pie pan, and the side of the glass to press it into the side of the pan.

Use as much of the crust mixture as you need to line one large pie pan (if you're using small or individual sized pans, this will make several).

Bake at 375 for 8 minutes.
