Christmas Store

Tonight we went out to eat at Chili's (love their 2 for $20 dinners!) and then it was time to hit up Wal-Mart. Each year our church does a community Christmas store to help underprivileged families provide gifts for their children. This year, we are inviting a record of over 800 families to come get gifts for their kids!

This is our shopping cart once we were almost finished loading up. We bought a variety of toys and games for boys and girls of all ages - birth on up. I want Brayden to grow up giving and wanting to help others, and to instill that in him at a young age!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I think it's wonderful that you're teaching Brayden at a young age to give to others! All parents need to do that! Some of the earliest Christmas memories I have, are my brother and I picking out toys for our Salvation Army Christmas Angel we adopted. I hope you're having a great weekend! :)

That is such a good idea. You are setting a great example for your son! And there are going to be a lot of happy children on Christmas morning, thanks to generous people like you!

Oh no! Where did Brayden go in that shopping cart? LOL! That is a good tradition to start doing and I'm sure he will appreciate that. I love Chili's 2/$20 too, that way I have no excuse NOT to get that molten lava cake because it comes WITH the meal!!!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! No, we are in Texas....but I grew up half here and half where you are and we actually just moved from the area where you grew up....small world...was that confusing enough!! I love your new hair cut and low lights. I have to do the same thing because too much blonde just washes me out!

What a great thing you are doing! I just told my husband today how much I love doing the Operation Christmas Child program....we will definitly be doing something this year too!
