I do have a teeny tiny update on our adoption process. I've decided to share as much information as I can because I've noticed that it's hard to find the whole step by step process anywhere, and this whole thing can be really confusing.
Our update is that we are going to have the first (of two) part of our home study done next Thursday (1 week from today!). I've been filling out pages and pages of paperwork, background check info etc over the last two days. Each state is probably a little different on what they require, but ours wants background checks, physicals, 5 reference letters and a home study done. The reference letters are actually forms that you give to 5 people to fill out, and they return them to you in a sealed envelope.
The boys have their "physicals" today and I'll also have to get copies of their immunization records. All of those thing have to be current in order to proceed with adoption here.
