Compassion & Prayer

We've all seen the photographs and the footage of Haiti. So many of you have already written on the topic and your words, I think, came out so beautifully, that I wasn't sure what I should say. What can I say? I am praying for all those affected by the tragedy, the ones who've lost family and friends, the ones who don't know if their relatives are okay. I can't imagine how they must be feeling.

There has been much said on what you can do to help. Many have texted to 85944 to donate $10 to the water fund. Others have texted 90999 to donate $10 to Compassion that will go towards relief efforts in Haiti. I was already logged into Compassion's website, writing Yumari a note, so I donated directly from there (go here).

Not everyone can financially afford to give money at this time, but there is something you can do. Pray for them. Pray for the people of Haiti, for all those affected by this tragedy. Pray for those who are aiding in the relief efforts, doctors, nurses, civilians, missionaries. Pray for the children who've lost their parents, and the parents who've lost their children.

Psalm 9:9 (NIV)

"The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble."
