Where we went yesterday!

Well apparently it wasn't too hard to guess!

We headed to Little Rock to visit the doctors and nurses that did so much to help Brayden!

First stop? Macaroni Grill where we ate dinner several times during our 5 week stay.

Remember me mentioning that we had asked our family to donate what they would have spent on presents for B to the ACH Foundation? Here are some of the rep's for the foundation - we met with them to give them the checks!
We had the rare opportunity to go up to the heliopad and show Brayden where he first arrived in LR:
And the Brayden got to see his girlfriend, I mean his favorite nurse, Sayward! She is getting married in a few months! Don't you think she'll make a beautiful bride?
And then he got to see the ah-mazing Dr's Arrington and May!
And the world's best occupational therapist, Tessa!
And one of my all time favorite people, George! George is the NICU waiting room manager. He is one of the funniest people I've ever met. Many times when we were down or had received not great news, George would come up with the funniest things to say and really lifted us up.
That's it for the hospital visit!

Some of you wrote me because you didn't know about B's hospitalization, and what all had happened.

I'll give you a brief overview, and if you want to see pictures and more info, you can start by going here and reading forward.

Brayden was our faith baby after over 2 years of infertility. During that time I did 9 rounds of Clomid, 4 of Femara, 4 IUI's with injectibles, had a laparoscopy etc, etc. We were told we wouldn't have kids without doing IVF. We decided to take a break from all of the treatments and appointments...and we got pregnant. Sadly, that pregnancy ended 2 weeks later in a miscarriage.

Our doctors told us to wait 3 months - but I felt God urging us not to, that He had a special plan for us. That next month, we got pregnant with Brayden!

Brayden was born a few days shy of 40 weeks. They took him straight to the nursery - the next day he was taken to another hospital. Then, that night he was flown to ACH. He had a very rare condition called PPHN, for which there is no cause. It affects less than 1% of babies and they are usually white males.

Brayden was very, very sick. At best, he was given a 70% chance of survival and we were told there was a very good chance that he would have developmental delays. You can read through my old posts, but in summary, God choose to use Brayden and work a miracle in him. Many were able to witness God's awesome power and Brayden's tiny life became a huge testimony. If you have time, go back and read - you won't regret it!

This was very sweet of you and your family, I am sure the hospital was glad to see you! Oh, and I put my inner crafty skills to work yesterday... I am hosting a baby shower next weekend and decided to make the pom poms. I think they turned out great, and what a neat idea! Thanks!

Jenna,I think what you did was so great.I'm sure the hospital appreciates is so much! I volunteer at a childrens hospital,so I know how great it is to see the kids come back healthy and happy. I hope Brayden's 1st birthday party is even better then you you're expecting.Give the birthday boy a kiss for me! ♥

Don't pay ANY attention to those who may leave mean, hateful comments on your posts.I don't want to mention any names here because it wouldn't do any good, but I'll be praying for the person who's comment is before mine. What he/she said is not true AT ALL(except for the Haiti part). :)
